Total traded value on AIX in September was USD 21 mln, KZT 8.8 bln

Astana International Exchange (AIX) presents its market operational update for September 2021. Total traded value for the period was USD 20,718,873 equivalent to KZT 8,816,530,873 [1], which is 71% more than in August 2021.

September was a volatile month for the AIXQI index. The index value reached an all-time high of 1103.29 on September 15th due to a significant increase in Kazatomprom share price (by 23.28%) amid a global uranium price surge. However, the index failed to keep a foothold at this level and having started September at 1,034.42, AIXQI ended it at 1,031.61, a slight decrease by 0.27% for the month.

The Astana International Financial Centre was created by the initiative of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Leader of the Nation, Nur-Sultan Nazarbayev as part of the “100 steps to implement five institutional reforms” national program.
