Exchange Traded Notes connected to China Equities are listed on AIX

Astana International Exchange (“AIX”, “Exchange”) is pleased to announce the listing of new exchange-traded notes – iX China Equities BR Exchange Traded Notes (“Notes”) with the shares of iShares MSCI China A ETF (“CNYA”) as an underlying asset. The Issuer of the Notes is iX China Equities SPC Limited, a Special Purpose Company (“SPC”) whose sole assets are represented by shares in CNYA – one of the largest ETFs providing exposure to the performance of the equity market in China.

The AIFC Governor, Dr Kairat Kelimbetov, noted:

“We welcome the new RMB denominated securities listing on AIX Belt and Road Market segment, which is driving the innovations of the capital market solutions support BRI financing. The listing of RMB ETNs is an important step of the growing financial integration between Kazakhstan and China under the frame of the Belt and Road Initiative and will further boost the offshore RMB market development in Kazakhstan and Central Asia.”

Jusan Bank is acting as a Custodian for the safekeeping of the underlying assets, and Russel Bedford A+ Partners is serving as an auditing firm.
