AIX has ratified WFE Green Equity Principles

21 October 2024

Astana International Exchange (AIX) is pleased to announce its ratification and accession to the World Federation of Exchanges’ framework for Green Equities. AIX now fully adheres to the WFE Principles and the WFE Green Equity Classification criteria. The AIX Green Equity Principles and Guidelines are developed in alignment with the WFE Green Equity Principles that are designed to enhance the visibility of green issuers and assist investors in accessing additional information about the companies that generate revenues from products and services contributing to positive environmental outcomes.

These Principles and Guidelines are not mandatory nor do they place any new formal additional listing requirements on AIX Issuers. However, if issuers meet the minimum criteria outlined in these Principles and Guidelines they will qualify for the WFE Green Equity Classification adding further value to their listed equities.

Aray Seitova, Acting Regulation Officer of AIX, commented:

“The AIX Green Equity Principles and Guidelines offer issuers a clear opportunity to strengthen their reputation as green businesses, capitalizing on the increasing focus on environmental sustainability. By aligning with these standards AIX ensures that investors have access to the essential information needed to make well-informed, responsible investment decisions.”
