AIX CSD expands its custody services offer with the admission of over 700 securities

29 July 2024

The AIX CSD is pleased to announce that it has admitted over 700 securities for its custody services offer. The admitted securities (list available here: https://aix.kz/clearing-settlement/depository-announcement/) are international Euroclearable fixed income securities, as well as KCSD-registered ones, admitted to trading on regulated markets.

One of AIX CSD Participants has been onboarded as a pilot custody client during the soft launch phase that is expected to last until October 2024. A number of AIX CSD Participants have expressed interest for the service and its expansion to international and domestic equities admitted to trading on various regulated markets.

The AIX CSD’s target is to increase the portfolio of securities under custody to up to $1bn within the following 6 months and increase the user’s base to up to 15 firms within the first year since the launch of new product.

Ainur Aitkazina, AIX CSD CEO, said:

“The new custody service for admitted securities is a perfect fit for small to medium size fund managers and broker-dealers who do not have the critical asset mass to have a direct account with an ICSD or a Global Custodian. It also offers the operational convenience of holding all securities admitted to the AIX Official List and/or to trading on other regulated markets under a single roof.”
