Astana International Financial Centre Authority
The Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) is a financial hub for the countries of Central Asia, republics of Transcaucasia, the countries of the Middle East and Europe. AIFC jurisdiction is based on the principles, norms and precedents of the law of England and Wales and (or) the standards of the world’s leading financial centers. The main goal of the AIFC is to develop a liquid and balanced capital market with a wide range of financial instruments provided. The AIFC Authority is a management body established to promote strategic development, development of services in the AIFC territory and infrastructure management of the centre. The administration also contributes to promoting the AIFC in world markets and attracting potential participants to the center. AIFCA is AIX’s Incorporator and major shareholder of AIX.
China-Kazakhstan Production Capacity Cooperation Fund Co., Ltd.
China-Kazakhstan Production Capacity Cooperation Fund Co., Ltd. is one of AIX’s Substantial Shareholders and a wholly owned subsidiary of Silk Road Fund Co., Ltd. (SRF), established to support the production capacity cooperation between China and Kazakhstan and also to support investments in other relevant areas. SRF is a Beijing-based medium to long term investment fund incorporated on December 29, 2014 with a mandate to support the “Belt and Road” Initiative. It endeavors to promote economic development of and connectivity between China and other countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative. Based on market principles and professionalism, SRF makes outbound investment in diverse geographic areas. It focuses on projects with optimal risk-return profiles in broad sectors such as infrastructure, energy & resources, industrials and financial services. SRF’s investment takes a variety of forms, including primarily direct equity investment, as well as debt financing and investment in other funds. SRF is also mandated to sponsor and establish investment funds with domestic or international financial institutions.
Nasdaq
Nasdaq is a Shareholder and the principal technology partner of AIX. Nasdaq provided AIX with its trading technology which shall provide both international and domestic investors with an easy and user-friendly access to financial instruments offered by AIX. The Nasdaq Matching Engine is a system acknowledged by its outstanding performance and functionality.
Shanghai Stock Exchange
Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) is a Strategic Partner of AIX since 2017. SSE provides valuable input in AIX’s strategy, technology, business planning, product design, market penetration and liquidity growth. Focus on the “Belt and Road” Initiative is one of the joint priorities for the SSE and AIX.
