KEGOC starts trading on AIX

Astana International Exchange (“AIX”, “Exchange”) is pleased to announce that ordinary shares (the “Shares”) of KEGOC JSC (“KEGOC”), the national electricity grid operating company in Kazakhstan, have been listed on the AIX. Shares shall be traded under “KEGC” ticker and will be quoted and settled in KZT.

About 54% of SPO subscriptions at the AIX were received from retail investors via our direct subscription solution at Tabys app and mobile applications of banking apps amounting to KZT2.2 bn.

“KEGOC is a purely domestic dividend story which is obviously the most wanted asset among local investors since utility is one of sectors which is less sensitive to external economic shocks and thus it is a great opportunity for citizens of Kazakhstan to become co-owners of national power grids operator.

We have provided the retail investors the easiest and fastest way to participate in IPOs/SPOs in the Tabys app and through mobile integrations with banks. During KEGOC’s SPO, a record number of online applications were submitted – more than 11 thousand for the amount of 2.2 billion tenge.”
