14 September 2021

Astana International Exchange (“AIX”) is pleased to announce the listing of new exchange-traded notes – Freedom Finance IUIF Fixed Income USD Exchange Traded Notes (“Notes”) linked to the performance of the local interval unit investment fund. These Notes are issued by a Special Purpose Company (“SPC”) – FF IUIF Fixed Income USD SPC Limited, whose sole assets are units in an interval unit investment fund “Fixed Income USD”.

The Notes will be traded on the AIX with Freedom Finance Global PLC acting as an investment adviser to the SPC and being responsible for the determination of the SPC’s investment strategy and Freedom Finance JSC as a Market Maker, providing easy access and liquidity for investors.

Renat Bekturov, CEO of AIX, commented:

“We welcome the listing of new exchange-traded notes of Freedom Finance to provide another investment opportunity for Kazakh investors and increase the number of instruments for the retail investors on AIX.”

Sergey Lukyanov, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Freedom Finance Global PLC, noted:

We are launching a new product on AIX to give local investors an opportunity to trade a new instrument in US dollars. In recent years, collective investments have attracted a lot of interest from retail investors. In 2020, the number of unit investment funds holders increased by more than 40% in Kazakhstan. We believe this trend will continue and unit investment funds may become a good alternative to bank deposits. We have no doubts that this instrument on the AIX will contribute to the development of the stock market in Kazakhstan.”
